Syncing but no updates to movies. I had no idea Vindigo was gone until searching google for info after I tried going to the website with no luck.

This app was the perfect tool for on the go decision makers. I am due for renewal on the 9th of this month so we will see what happens next time I sync my Treo.

Does anyone know the updates regarding the app. and company?

vindigo is gone. it is totally not loading. it warned me multiple times to sync and then mentioned the whole 'date thing', etc. not working now. i am devastated. i knew this was going to happen i just didnt know when. i go in there and it gives the whole message: "your vindigo 2.0 subscrip has been temporarily suspended. your account was schedule to renew on 5/24/09, but your device has not been synced recently and we were unable to verify the status of your account" pls sync your device today, etc etc
obviously, i synced it but it was not going to work.

what can be done? why cant the currently downloaded listings remain on my palm? i dont want to go play with the software to fix this but is there anything that can be done to atleast keep what i had? i cant view shiit!

please advise!

p.s. i downloaded the Zagat.com palm trial application. it is THE WORST piece of software ive ever seen in my life + it has to keep on connection to 'server' so it doesnt download restaurants or bars to the device. TOTALLY STUPID!

HELP ME PLEASE!!! REVIVE VINDIGO!! WE MUST DO THIS NOW!!!

Vindigo won't load at all to run to see the info in VindigoComments file. It says subscription has expired. Then I tried setting the palm to an old date, but I get a "Missing Data" screen that says "Vindigo lost some data when you last synced. Try syncing again, and if that doesn't fix the problem, visit vindigo.com/help)." Of course syncing (wired and wireless) doesn't work. thanks for any help.

What a pathetic waste. I would have paid 10x the fee to keep my vindigo. I had extensive data saved for many cities. Who ever is responsible for not being able to keep such a great application alive really ought to be strung up and stoned for being such a complete incompentent business moron. And now I can't even access my old data because the application won't load b/c it hasn't synced. People are making millions selling apps not 1/10th as good as vindigo and some moron can't keep vinidigo alive. The closing of Vindigo should a case study in business school of complete incompetence and wasted value.

If anyone figures out a way to at least retrieve the list of restaurants that I had checked as my favorites, please post.

I am heartbroken at the news that Vindigo is no more. I have been a Vindigo user for years and absolutely love it! I gladly would have paid much more to keep it! It is by far the best "non-business" app around. When my company issued me a BlackBerry last year, the first thing I did was make sure I could use Vindigo on it. I was not going to give up my Palm LifeDrive if I couldn't have Vindigo on the BB. There just has to be a way to revive this app! With iPhones and BlackBerrys being used so extensively now, the market is there.

Hi... I'm Dennis and I am one of the people from India who are hired by SpinVox to transcribe their voicemails into text. Certainly SpinVox does have the voice recognition tool which they proudly boast of... but the messages that the computer or machine is unable to transcribe goes to their agents all around the world. These centers or agents are mainly situated in India, South Africa and Egypt.. and maybe in many other countries. The tool which I or the agents all around the world use to transcribe SpinVox messages is called Tenzing.

I just got a new computer and now that Vindigo's website isn't up and running anymore, I can't sync my Palm Centro anymore. This is the saddest thing - Vindigo has been my lifeline for NYC for nearly 10 years. I don't know how I'm going to cope without it. The beauty of Vindigo is I could use it in subways and didn't even need a data plan. I'd be willing to pay $100 a year for such a service. Pity someone isn't buying it. It is truly the most comprehensive software out there.
